Why it was created

Better CS2 matches with friends.

Brutal Bots started with a simple frustration: public matches were too often spoiled by cheaters, while standard bots were not challenging enough for a satisfying private match with friends. In our matches, even fifteen standard bots could struggle against five players with some experience; they used utility only occasionally and could get stuck in predictable places.

The goal became to improve combat reactions, grenade use and movement while keeping private dedicated-server matches easy to launch. Movement has been the hardest part to refine, but the result is already far more enjoyable. We recommend starting on Normal; Brutal is for players who want a much harsher challenge - almost like facing suspiciously sharp opponents, only without the cheaters.

Brutal Bots Manager - Only works with Windows

Start your server in a few clear steps.

The guided manager keeps server setup, bot teams, difficulty, connection details and updates in one place.

  1. 1

    Install the manager

The guided setup helps prepare SteamCMD, the dedicated server and Brutal Bots.

  2. 2

    Choose your bots

Select difficulty, map and fictional bot teams for both sides.

  3. 3

    Start the server

Launch the configured dedicated server and send the connect command to friends.

Built for real rounds

Bots that fight like teammates.

Better aim is only the start. Brutal Bots also listen, use utility, share information and keep the round moving.

A teammate who can drop

No primary weapon? If a bot can afford the team purchase, it can buy and drop you a proper rifle instead of sitting on the cash.

Utility actually gets used

Smokes, flashes, HE grenades and incendiaries become part of the round instead of forgotten inventory.

They hear the mistake

Footsteps and gunfire matter. Give away your position behind smoke and a bot can answer through it instead of pretending nothing happened.

Sharper gunfights

Bots react faster when fired upon, acquire targets sooner and track movement more convincingly across the available difficulties.

Movement that clears obstacles

Improved stuck recovery and leg-tuck jumps help bots climb and clear more geometry, so rounds are interrupted far less often by a trapped teammate.

Less waiting, more pressure

Shared information, rotations and more active decisions make teams less predictable and reduce passive camping.

Frequently asked questions

What you should know before starting.

Q1 Why is Brutal Bots subscription-based?

CS2 evolves over time, so the bot system and the Manager require compatibility updates, bug fixes, and ongoing development. I plan to introduce additional game modes and custom training maps for the improved bots. Active subscribers will receive these additions, Manager updates, and bot updates immediately upon their release, and there are also plans to develop a completely custom “engine” for the bots to make their movements even better.

Q2 Where does Brutal Bots run?

Brutal Bots is designed for a customer-installed private CS2 Dedicated Server and for only WINDOWS operation system

Q3 Do I receive updates?

Yes. Active subscriptions include available Brutal Bots updates and compatibility fixes.

Q4 What is improved compared with standard bots?

Brutal Bots focuses on combat reactions, tactical utility, movement decisions and server management.

Q5 How does automatic renewal work?

Stripe Billing renews the subscription automatically until cancelled.

Q6 Does Brutal Bots include Valve or CS2 files?

No. The manager helps customers install and configure their own dedicated server and required third-party tools.

Q7 Why might Windows SmartScreen warn about the installer?

The Brutal Bots Manager is not currently signed with a paid Windows code-signing certificate, so Windows SmartScreen may show a warning and identify the installer as coming from an unknown publisher the first time it runs. This warning alone does not mean the application is malicious or unsafe. To continue, select More info, then Run anyway. Always download the installer only from the official Brutal Bots website.
